I am Only good for one thing: GARBAGE!

Journal Entry: Mon May 5, 2008, 12:48 PM
  • Mood: Dazed
  • Listening to: Assemblage 23 - I Ran (a flock of seagulls)
  • Reading: Transformers Stormbringer (Furman & Figueroa)
  • Watching: Para Para Sakura
  • Playing: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time
  • Eating: Strawberries
  • Drinking: Iced Tea
I am Wreck-Gar! I dare to be stupid!

:bulletpurple: Weird Al makes me happier than life. Making references to himself, I see!
Yesterday's Episode of Animated was SO AWESOME. WITH EXPLOSIONS AND CHEESECAKE. ( And some very very yummy shrimp from Friday's, courtesy of :iconsoggy-phoenix:, who I still need to bully into posting some artworks.)

:bulletpurple: I just finished watching Para Para Sakura. FANTASTIC movie. Anything that makes me dance around my room in PJs while singing horrible cantonese into a toy Scorponok HAS to be awesome. I thought it was going to be so sad at the end, but it really was happy. Basically, it's about a colorblind man falling in love, played by the goooorgeous Aaron Kwok! There's tons of music and dancing in public, goofy love scenes, and a jacket that says "I'm Horny." I'm not going to spoil it with anything else though. xp

:bulletpurple: So. Art show. I was so proud of my bench, it went for $300. I was so sad my parents wouldn't buy it back, but they said they couldn't, and I even said I would pay part of it, but I guess not. I did really want it back, so I was seriously bummed. Most people I know were able to buy theirs back if they wanted them, but I guess I couldn't. I'll have a collage of pics of it soon enough, hopefully. Continuing, none of my regular stuff got purchase awards, which was a little disappointing. So someone bought the thing of mine that I wanted, and no one wants the stuff that I kind of want to get rid of! Figguuuureeesss. :x

:bulletpurple: Music Blurb. I've had a lot of sweet, sweet new stuff on my playlist, which is now a few thousand songs long. Here's just a few of the new things I've dug up:
Timekiller by Project Pitchfork
I am the Rain by Assemblage 23
As We Fall by Imperative Reaction
Waving Hands by Neuroticfish
Call the Ships to Port by Covenant
Killing Ground by Funker Vogt
Pax Psychosis by Grendel
Damaged by Plummet
Firestarter by Prodigy
Do love.

:bulletpurple: Books? What books?
I really want to start reading again, once my workload lightens up a bit. I've been like...consumed by stuff like artwork for school and the latin textbook that has been floating around my room for a few months now. I got a ton of books for christmas and my birthday (five months ago) and I have yet to put a dent in them. When I was away during the summer, I spent a lot of my free time sitting outside reading. It was great because other kids usually would ask me about what I was reading, and I managed to finish two 700-page books in three days, even with all of the work I had to do during my open studio periods.

:bulletpurple: 30 days of school left, counting exam week and the few days of classes that will be just sitting around doing nothing! Woo! Just under 2 months to graduation, also!

:bulletpurple: One final note. I haven't been signing my artwork in obnoxious places, nor have I been watermarking it. That's because my stuff is free for personal use. Feel free to download my fullviews, use them in collages, desktop wallpapers, clipart, youtube vids, whatever, but never, EVER sell them or claim them as your own. I work very hard on my stuff and I don't appreciate someone saying that my work is theirs.
-If you post something containing my artwork, edited or otherwise on DA, I only require that you link back to my original deviation, but I would appreciate it if you drop me a note about it. I may leave a comment, or even a favorite.
-If you have any questions about my policies on usage of my artwork, feel free to note me. I haven't had too many problems in the past, and I hope to keep it that way. I can be pretty lenient, so it's good to ask me. If I just find something of mine on DA, however, and neither my name nor a link to my deviation is anywhere in the comments, I won't hesitate to report. :stab: That's why it's just better to ask me.

As far as I've heard, they did. Probably helped that he started as your strongest, pretty much. And...he's awesome. Who would not want to use him? Haha. But yeah, the ones where you have to throw them makes me take out all the Thieves I leveled up a bunch. I had about five, so I could go through most of the levels with just them, possibly not being hit more than a few times unless the enemies happened to be close enough or ranged. It's pretty crazy how easy the main story is once your characters began catching up (or in my case, completely over powering all of them...heh heh).
~MurdererDelacroix:iconMurdererDelacroix: Feb 14, 2008, 1:21:14 PM
That's pretty cool. I got to the point as well where my super-powered-up warrior basically soloed levels unless it called for throwing.
Cept in the original, where I think like EVERYONE had Laharl as their omnipotent character.

Hahaha, so true... It's pretty bad, because in Disgaea 2, I got to the point of actually being able to finish whole levels using only Tink and my five Thieves. So every other character I had aside from that (which were many...), were just extra bonuses to make the levels easier. XD

I got the remake. It's definitely worth the $$. Starting all over from square one is actually kind of fun. You get to start building that massive army all over again!

Ah, okay. I bought the first game for my girlfriend when it was still expensive on Ebay. Then several months later, they announce that they're making it again. Oh, well. At least she got the game to play, right?

That's cool, though. Just figuring some things out must still be awesome! It's better than nothing at all, right?

I would say I could play it sometime soon, but my PS2 quit working last summer... Otherwise I probably would've played it already. Maybe I'll just buy the remake on PSP and borrow my sister's PSP. :plotting:
~MurdererDelacroix:iconMurdererDelacroix: Nov 8, 2007, 3:56:16 PM
Well, I've got the game in English, so that's all set. The book I can pick apart bits and pieces because occasionally parts are written in kana, which is much easier to understand.

Yes, she's going to "Assasinate Krichevskoy."
Man, I love that game. x3 if you can ever get your hands on it, SEIZE THE OPPORTUNITY. It's awesome. :D

Yet you can still sort of understand what's happening in the game and book? Or is that still pretty difficult (since it's in kanji, isn't it?)

Nin nin nin nin! XD I haven't played the game, but I at least got to see that part!
~MurdererDelacroix:iconMurdererDelacroix: Nov 3, 2007, 9:13:29 PM
Only a bit. I'm pretty poor at reading kanji, but that's my biggest obstacle. That and my vocabulary is lacking. I doubt I would be able to speak it pretty well.

Flonne is cool too. I love when you first meet her, how she snuck around the castle making ninja noises. XD!

Hahaha, cool. Can you understand/read Japanese?

Very true... Even though Flonne is my favourite. XD
~MurdererDelacroix:iconMurdererDelacroix: Nov 3, 2007, 8:28:39 PM
Actually, yeah. >> I have them both, and the artbooks for both. In japanese. o_o; *nerd alert XD*

I gotta say I love Laharl. And the Prinnies. But doesn't everyone?

Disgaea, eh? Which character is your favourite? Have you been able to play both games?
